The kids love to go to the dollar store and shop for gifts. Brooke and Carter always choose something they like of course which ultimately becomes theirs so they are pretty smart. Ashley wants to fine something that "dad could really use" she says "I don't want to just get something to get something. I want it to be something he will want" So we went down the Daddy isle (tool stuff) and found a paper towel holder that he could use in the shop and a set of funnels. She is so thoughtful.
Brooke bought him a flower shelf ornament and a dog toy football. Too funny.
Carter bought truck stickers and Ashley helped him pick out candy.
They also chose their own cards and wrote/colored in them.
We also made cupcakes because they are dad's favorite. We frosted them when they were still warm and the frosting started to melt. Ashley was carrying the plate upstairs and tripped on the stairs. Thankfully she caught them on her face and arm and very little got on the carpet. Nice save!
