This year we bought a regular big gingerbread house because that is what Brooke wanted and also a little village one that Ashley wanted. I decided after this year that we will buy only the little village next year and give each kid their own small house. The big house was too big for Brooke's attention span and she pretty much just ate the candy. The small village was too many houses for Ashley's attention span. So I think that will make a nice compromise next year. And maybe the houses will get better decorated that way.
