Day 5-Belize

In Belize we did a cave tubing excursion. We book all of our excursions on our own and not through the ship since it costs so much more. In this case the people picked us up at the port and drove us about an hour to the hiking spot. Along the drive we saw how many people lived and it was pretty sad. This was the worst. I took it to show Ashley how blessed we are.

When we got to the trail we were hooked up with helmets and head lamps, life jackets and inner tubes. We had to carry our tubes the whole way but it wasn't that far. Along the trail we got the typical tourist info, ate termites and held a tarantula. We were told we couldn't bring our cameras because they would get wet. Charlie and Sara had an underwater camera they brought so thankfully we got some documentation. Word to you all who do this tour, take your camera!! It was soooo slow and our tour guides dragged us the whole way so we didn't even have to paddle or anything. There is no way your camera would get wet unless someone dumped you out of the tube. Even then the water was like a foot deep.

After the tour we were taken to a family restaurant and fed lunch of chicken rice and a soda. It was pretty good. I even had seconds.

Our tour guides were so cool they even drove us around town to find Gary some fresh off the tree bananas. Here is the whole group with our three guides.

When we got back to the ship there was still time so we walked around town and we found this painted on a wall. Even Hondorus knows Gary is a star!
