We went to the state fair last week. Sadly we chose a day that was 103 degrees outside. But the benefit was there were fewer people there so the crowds were not unbearable. The kids loved it and that is what we went for in the first place. I didn't get to shop all the As seen on TV stuff which I am a total sucker for but we milked a cow, attempted to make our own butter (it was too hot and never formed), and Gary was on stage helping a guy in a straight jacket get on a unicycle. It actually made for an inexspensive family activity.
