We had Family Home Evening at Judy's house in Lake Tahoe this month. Not many of us made it but we always have a great time no matter who is there! Extra bonus was that it was Ashley's birthday the same weekend. So we got to go play at the lake have a little party and go on a hike to celebrate.

He sat this way for the longest time. His other hand drawing in the sand or grabbing a handful and watching it spill out. Just content to be there.

After swimming we went home to make a birthday cake and dinner. Ashley wanted a make-up theme with July 4th colors. This is what we came up with.
Not bad for a last minute idea. She was happy and it was easy! Unlike every other cake I have made them! She told me what she wanted and where to put things. I think that is why she liked it so much because it was her "design" Good Job Ashley!
The next morning Grandma Judy took us on a beautiful walk. At the top you could see the entire lake. So we stopped and took several pictures.

Ashley is sooo good. We ended up buying her one for her birthday. She is the one in the background that never stops. Brooke is in the front pouting a little because she can't do it.
Ashley can run while doing it & she can get down on her knees and walk and stand back up.
I need to find a class for her! She would love it.
