Cruising with the Evans Family-Part 1

Gary's parents are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year.  Lucky for us they wanted to celebrate with the whole family by taking us on a cruise with them!  Clint & Eileen drove to our house from Idaho a couple of days early to help with a couple of projects we wanted done in the yard.  Unfortunatley it had rained non stop and it was impossible to do any outdoor projects.  So Gary and his dad built some office walls in his shop for future use instead.  So it was still productive for them.
Saturday night my mom came over for dinner and took Carter home with her for the week.  It was so sad for me to go on a family vacation and leave him behind.  But it was the best choice for an enjoyable week for everyone including Carter.  He loves his Supergran!
Sunday at 5:30 AM we got the girls out of bed and all jumped in the van for the drive to San Diego where the crusie boat was.  The rest of the family flew into San Diego the night before.

YEAH We are on a ship!
I love this picture

Sitting in the window in their room.  We got adjoining rooms.  It was fabulous.  I have never had so much space on a cruise ever!

We were supposed to go to Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta.  They cancelled Mazatlan for safety reasons so we were going to do Cabo for two days.  And then the first night we left there was some medical emergency so we had to turn around and take some passenger back.  So the schedule was changed again and we only got one day in Cabo and one day in Puerto.  We spent three straight days on the ship before getting to our first stop in Cabo San Lucas then Puerto the next day and then another two days at sea to get home.  7 day cruise with only 2 stops.  It was still great.  Would have been better if the weather was warmer on the ship.  But we will take it!
Those first 3 days it was so cold on the ship so we spent alot of time in the hot tubs.

There was also this great water park on the ship.  The girls played at it a  couple of times but it was so cold it didn't last long.

Ashley Paige then Brooke coming down the slide

Brooke playing in the spouting water.

 Ashley standing in the cube.

We also did the waterslide a few times each.  Again too cold to play long.  The weather was a real bummer for the trip.  But we won't complain!

Every night we got a new towel animal.  The girls loved it!

There was a Camp Carnival that the kids could go to while the parents did what they wanted.  None of our kids cared for it much and spent the time with us anyway.  Brooke went a couple of nights while we went to the show but then didn't want to go back.
She did have fun the night they did face painting.

This next set of pictures is just because Brooke cracks me up.  I was trying to get a "good" picture and she kept pulling different faces everytime I took the picture.
This is the first picture when I sad "Brooke you weren't looking."

Now she is looking but with a pout

So this was cute of Brooke but Ashley had her head leaned way back.

This is when I just laughed and gave up!
